| wishing it's over |
errant thoughts
lack of will to bring them back
allowing the tide of hopeless
to wash onto the pristine white shores
slowly eroding the sandcastles
built by innocent hands
bit by bit
the pull lessens
inch by inch the tide takes less away
the mind police arrives
and arrests the fugitives
imprisoning them into a corrective center
yet knowing
